What is a clinical trial?
A clinical trial is a research study where people volunteer to test new medical treatments, procedures, or therapies to determine their safety and effectiveness before they can be prescribed. Sometimes a clinical trial will test an already approved medication or treatment for a new condition.
For example, Ozempic, initially used exclusively for diabetes, is now commonly prescribed for weight loss. Clinical trials were essential to validate its safety for this new use.

Study Participation
Getting started is simple! Reach out to us to explore current study opportunities. We will conduct a short assessment over the phone by asking some relevant questions. If your interests and criteria match a specific study, we will schedule your first appointment and proceed to the next step. We offer free transportation to and from our office.
At your first appointment you’ll visit our research office and meet the study team. During this visit, you will receive an informed consent form, and you can ask any questions or talk about anything you’re wondering about. Many studies require things like a physical assessment, blood draw and review of your medical history. The screening requirements vary from trial to trial, and your study team will go over all of the details before we get started.
Once you’re considered eligible to participate and you’ve reviewed and are comfortable with participating, you’re ready to start your research journey. During the trial, the study team will monitor your progress and assess you for safety and efficacy at various visits. Depending on the study, different assessments may be needed at each follow up visit. Your safety and understanding are our top priority throughout this journey.
